We invite you to our
lovely island hideaway nestled in the woods on the shores of Cusheon
Lake. The setting is idyllic and the ambience most peaceful and
welcoming. Salt Spring is a beautiful island, a treasure chest of
vistas and activities. Should your interests be hiking or
bird-watching, kayaking or sailing, shopping or visiting craft studios,
your friendly hosts at Lakeside can help you plan the perfect getaway!

Whether you're in search of a special romantic hideaway, or a fun-filled family vacation, Lakeside is superb! Situated on a knoll with Cusheon Lake below, the cottage has a wonderful lake view and is but a short path to excellent swimming and water sports.
Guests have the complimentary use of:
- a large dock
- canoes
- a rowboat with electric motor
- surfer boards
- a sauna
- kayaks may be available for experienced paddlers.

The cottage is private, spacious and well-appointed, including:
- a fireside lounge
- two decks
- fully equipped kitchen
- washer and dryer
- three bedrooms
- woodburning stove
- TV / VCR / stereo
Newly renovated, it is cedar-sided and beamed on the inside and has a great air-tight stove for keeping warm and cozy. There are three attractively decorated bedrooms able to accomodate up to five people.
Enjoy lots of sunshine on
the front deck, a lovely spot for a home-cooked breakfast. The back
deck looks down at the tranquil waters of Cusheon Lake, and is perfect
for lounging with a good book or playing a board game.
If so inclined, cottage guests have easy access to exciting recreational choices: kayak ocean tours and lake clinics, sailing excursions, as well as hiking and climbing. In July and August, Island Escapades offers wilderness camps for youth that explore alpine and marine parks in and around Salt Spring.
Lakeside is an lovely island escape in all the seasons. A haven where one can relax, revitalize and enjoy!

High Season Rates: June 15 – Sept 15$190/night (minimum 3 nights, except July & August 5 nights)
$1250/week
all rates based on double occupancy; extra guest $20/night
Low Season Rates: Sept 16 – June 14
$150/night (minimum 2 nights, except long weekends 3 nights)
$950/week
all rates based on double occupancy; extra guest $15/night
